The Premium Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has launched its new Off-road bike Royal Enfield Himalayan in India. The bike is designed to run on both on-road & off-road terrain. The Royal Enfield team specially tested the prototype in the Himalaya Range to squash all the limitations. The motorcycle purpose-built for adventure and touring in the Himalayas.
Design
Himalayan is the first bike in Royal Enfield camp that comes with monoshock suspension. The bike has space to accommodate luggage on both rear and front. That’s right, it has space to carry luggage on the front. You can carry 5 Litre Fuel with you, 5 Litre on the both side.
The rugged duplex split cradle frame designed by Harris Performance for stability and agility.
Engine
Royal Enfield Himalayan is equipped with the Single cylinder, air-cooled, 4 stroke 411 cc engine mated with 5-speed gearbox and TCI multi-curve ignitions system. Together they produced maximum power of 24.5 BHP @ 6500 RPM and Maximum Torque of 32 Nm @ 4000-4500 RPM. It has Carburettor with throttle position sensor fuel supply and Electric only engine start.
For comfort, Himalayan is equipped with Telescopic front suspension & mono shock with linkage rear suspension.
Royal Enfield also gave the exhaust a sporty look and height of exhaust maintain for off-road terrain.
Features
Royal Enfiled Himalayan is designed for touring purpose and for that it comes with 15-litre fuel tank which provides an approximate range of 450 KM.
The instrument cluster keeps track of speed, direction, ambient temperature, travel time, service intervals and multiple trip distances. An ergonomic sync between footpegs, handlebar & seat height provides a comfortable upright riding posture that is necessary for long rides.
