Raptee.HV, the Chennai-based EV startup, has just launched its new high-voltage electric motorcycle in India.
The new EV motorcycle adopts the universal charging standards used by electric cars and can be charged using any car charger. It comes with an onboard charger.
The Raptee.HV motorcycle has a range of 200 km and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. The battery pack is IP67 rated and comes with an 8-year or up to 80,000 km warranty.
Raptee.HV uses in-house developed electronics to power the HV tech and a custom-built OS based on Linux. The bike will be available in four colors: Red, White, Grey, and Black.
The bike is priced at Rs. 2.39 lakhs, and deliveries will start first in Chennai and Bangalore from January. The company plans to expand sales to the rest of India based on the feedback from these markets.
